Our story
It all started in the early 90s, when the worst coffee crisis hit many producers. As a social project, Myrtha & Hannjörg Hereth bought Fazenda Ipiranga and gave it a second life. They built 50 houses for the employees, a school that took in children from all the surrounding villages, a football pitch and gave the people work, access to clean water, fresh milk, social benefits and everything they needed to live a good life.
On the agricultural side, they revitalised the entire production, started to farm in an environmentally friendly way and achieved impressive results in terms of coffee quality.
„The farmer has always been the architect of the landscape. Therefore, it is not only his task to produce the food for his generation, but he must hand over the land that was given to him, undamaged and even in better quality, to the next generation.“
Hannjörg Hereth, Owner & Visoner
